Angela is a Registered General Nurse and case manager with over 40 years of clinical and leadership experience, including more than three decades specialising in spinal cord injury and long-term neurological conditions. She has extensive expertise across acute, rehabilitation, and community settings, with a particular focus on developing and managing complex care packages that enable individuals to live independently and safely at home.
Angela is highly experienced in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, complex discharge planning, clinical governance, safeguarding, and quality assurance. She has held senior leadership positions, including Group Director of Governance and Quality, where she led regulatory compliance, clinical excellence initiatives, and organisational safeguarding frameworks across large-scale healthcare services.
Alongside her clinical and leadership roles, Angela is a Board Member and Trustee of CMSUK and has contributed to the development of national guidance in spinal cord injury care. She has a specialist interest in promoting best practice, improving standards of care, and supporting person-centred approaches that maximise independence, wellbeing, and quality of life for individuals with complex neurological needs.
